Auntie B’s quilt

I made this quilt from a 3 yard/3 fabric pattern bought at the AQS show in Lancaster, PA. Fabrics were purchased at Burkholder Fabrics in Denver, PA. It is a simple block, made up of a square in the focal fabric (floral), a rectangle (pink) and a cornerstone (blue grid). The blocks are then rotated and put together in myriad ways to make the quilt top. I completed this one in July 2012 and gave it to my aunt Brenda for Christmas. Again, I am remiss in not photographing the final product. Also, I cannot remember what I actually called this one, but here I’ll go with Auntie B’s Quilt, since that is who got it!

I hated the pink while I was working. I found it overwhelmed the piecing of the blocks and wondered if it would look like anything. I like it now, but it was a slog!
