Mod Blocks

This was my second quilt. It is Elizabeth Hartman‘s Mod Blocks pattern. Composed of rectangles and squares in prints and solids, it is quite striking. The block in the top right corner is quite wonky! I was fortunate to find the beautiful grey solid at Sew Sisters, in addition to all of the other fabrics on the quilt top. The backing comprises a row of blocks between two different backing fabrics, both of which I obtained at Burkholder Fabrics, near Lancaster, PA. I completed the quilt top in February/March 2012 and am only slightly further along with the quilting.

I like the backing on this one. It involved piecing blocks and two other fabrics.
